The 1-Hour Sleep CountdownAugust 15th, 2012
I’ve been having a harder time falling asleep and staying asleep. The days that my head would hit the pillow and I’d be out like a light are long gone, and the realities of life can often keep my mind wandering into sleeplessness. Now, I know my mattress isn’t the problem, I sleep on a Serta iSeries- its unbelievably comfortable. Trying to unwind, I did some research and came across the Dr. Oz 1-Hour Sleep Countdown. Here is what it looks like:
Step 1. “Dr Oz. Tired Tea”, is made from combining chamomile and melatonin. It’s very soothing, and you can’t taste the melatonin!
Step 2. Lavender Steam Facial
Step 3. Turn Down the Heat
Step 4. Stretch
Step 5. Sleep (ok I added this one)
This 45 minute process really helps unwind your mind and relax your body. I hit the mattress and was definitely ready to sleep. It’s not a permanent solution to my sleep problems, but it was a nice treat to “escape” mid-week stresses.
